Tonight for
FHE we went around egging houses. Ashley and I filled a ton of plastic eggs with candy this afternoon. When the older kids got home from school, I let each of them choose one friend to be "egged". We then went to each of their houses. The kids would run around the front yard hiding eggs all over. Then they would put the above note on the doorstep, ring the bell, and off we would run. They had so much fun hiding the eggs and at a few places we would watch from a far at the friends finding the eggs. Oh the joy of giving and
receiving!

I totally love this idea!
We used to do something similar at Halloween....I can't remember what we called it, but it was kind of like a chain letter...kind of.
We had the ghost who left cookies and the receiving family had to do the same for someone who hadn't been visited by the ghost. You then put a picture of the ghost in your window so your neighbors knew you'd been visited.
I'm going to HAVE to use this idea...love it.
