Yellowstone Part Three

Are you sick of Yellowstone pics yet?  One more part after this one, and then on to Bear Lake.

People were always being carried.  My feet reminded me that I was NOT being carried.

Stephen had some conference calls to make.  The lodge at Old Faithful had the best wifi so we hung out there.  At lunch in the lodge and explored the hotel.

Old Faith

These two sat on a ledge facing Old Faithful having quite the conversation.  I was worried that they would fall and the vacation would end with a broken leg.

There are giant rocking chairs on that porch facing Old Faithful.  It was fun to watch away from all of the people, and to have Ashley entertain us.

The jumping didn’t stop even when it went off.

In fact others joined in…

And some posed as “cool” in front.

This is how group shots go right before Stephen yells and makes them do this instead.

We then watched Old Faithful from the hotel deck in these big log seats.  The lodge was amazing!  I can’t imagine how cool the guy felt that built the tree house inside.  It would be every boy and girls dream to have a tree house like that.

We took advantage of the time by writing postcards to ourselves and drawing.

One child refused to do any writing and explored instead…

We also went into the visitor’s center.  I made each of the kids’ memorize three facts to tell the family as we hiked on our next trail.  Nathan proceeded to tell his in another language.  Supposedly I wasn’t specific about regurgitating them in English.  All of the kids of course that he was hilarious speaking in German.

Are you ready to go to Yellowstone now?  My favorite pictures will be in the next part and will for sure convince you that you MUST see Yellowstone!

Selfies

My kids were constantly taking pictures of everything.  I smiled as I watched them trying to do selfies to be in the pictures as I was conscientious to not get in the pictures.  I need to do a page on their pictures that they took on their phones.

Here they are taking the pictures that are on their phones….

My boys were taking pics too, but I never caught them with my camera.

Love my cute future photographers!  Someday they will be rocking DSLR’s!

Yellowstone Part Two

Looking at these pictures reminds me of all the memories created during the trip.  I am just so sad that it’s over.  I told Stephen that I wish we could constantly travel seeing the world with our kids and never have to go back to life.  That’s not going to happen so I have to cherish the moments made.

Mammoth Hot Springs was a definite favorite to see!

Jerrica toted her American Girl Doll all over the park.  She also toted candy in her mouth every second that we would let her.

You could definitely feel the warmth coming from the geysers.

We walked many a boardwalk!

This one started bubbling and bursting right as we walked by.  We weren’t expecting it to go off, and it totally scared us!

Elk, waterfalls, rock formations, wildflowers, geysers, perfect weather, giggles, laughter, sweet thank you’s for taking them on the trip.  We were loving every minute of it!!!
