We have a dog named Shadow. She is an outside dog. Today I told Ash to give her a scrap from breakfast. Ash went to the back door and said, "Here Shad, Happy Valentine's Day!"
"Ash it's not Valentines Day, why did you say that?"
"Mom, Shad is a dog and doesn't know that it's not Valentines Day. I'm just tricking her a little so that she thinks its a fun day"

That's very sweet! We give our dogs a treat every Sunday. They always seem to know that it's Sunday, too....they seem to be waiting for the moment when we'll get their treats from the cupboard. Maybe I'll tell them "Happy Valentine's Day" just for fun! :)
