I would have to say hands down that the best toy for kids is…… a PET!
They spend hours playing with them.
They learn responsibility.
They exercise as they chase after them.
They feel emotions of joy, happiness and sorrow.
They are able to teach them.
And they make pictures extra cute!

FIRST OFF: this picture if amazing! I love it!
2nd: I agree with you...When we had to put our dog down in August (he was 11 years old), my brother had his kids come over and say goodbye and they were very emotional about it (they were: 8, 5 and 3) but also very mature and understanding. I asked my sister-in-law about it and she expressed that they loved the dog and they should feel what the fulness of that love includes and that's mercy. I thought it showed a lot of compassion for her to think that way about it.
Myself, I love animals because they teach unconditional love.
