Hike and Tie Dye

The next morning we worked on tie dye t-shirts to wear to the zoo.

Aunt Alesha did fancy polka dot pedicures on all of us…

20140627_181653 We ran to the store every time we would think of a new treat to make.  The pretzel bites were DOWNED every time they came out of the oven.

In the afternoon we took a treat and headed to Garden of the Gods for a little hike.  I am a firm believer in hikes!  You get away from all the electronics, you are able to visit with each other, AND you get all of the energy out of the little ones.

The rain moved in, so we moved out…

We came home and the fort building began.  Every bedroom and even the craft room had a fort.  I opened my blanket closet that night and there wasn’t a single blanket nor sheet left in it!  Rebecca’s entire room was a fort.  Her group played multiple games and did projects under their masterpiece forts.  Kaylee and Shelby’s is below.  They would watch movies and let little ones come and crash their fort parties.

Forts  The little boys got breakfast served to them in their fort.  They were ALL over that!

Ashley, Syd and Hannah had a cool “queen” fort with a canopy but I didn’t get a picture of it. :)

Tanya and her family stayed with Jason.  However, due to the coolness of the forts, her girls came over one night to sleepover in one!

I was amazed at how long they took perfecting their forts and playing in them.  WELL worth the time I spent folding blankets and sheets.  It’s always the little things!
