Pi Dye

3-14 is Pi Day at our school.  It is a BIG day for the kids!  They do activities centered around pi, and eat a ton of round foods. 

Last year after pi day, Kaylee and Rebecca came up with an awesome idea for a pi day t-shirt.  They went to the math teacher the very next day and told her their idea of having a “Pi Dye” shirt out of a “tie dye” shirt.  The teacher is awesome, and loved their idea.  She even let them work with the design, colors and font. 

So without further adieu, here was the t-shirt this year.

Rebecca loved the attention as Mrs. Ciolli would tell everyone that she designed it.  Kids came up to her complimenting the design.  She even got a sneak peek as soon as they arrived at school.  Rebecca told me that she loved seeing teachers wear her shirt and seeing kids from other campuses in “her” shirt.

I think they look awesome and am so proud that the girls spoke up about their idea!
