All of the adults went and enjoyed Les Miserables. We LOVED it!
The teenagers went to the Life of Pi one night together and all claimed that it too was awesome.
We went rock climbing at Lifetime one night. It started out as a scary adventure, but then I think everyone loved it in the end.
The rest of the holiday was filled with eating, playing games, watching movies and just enjoying being together!
The girls played non-stop in the basement as teachers….
All the older girls worked on friendship bracelets. These little cardboard wheels sure made it easy…
The X Box and Wii were going non-stop in the loft with all of the new Christmas games.
These girls played a special game of Monopoly that used an app on Syd’s ipod…..
We saw quite a few puppet shows. I like how Ash spelled pussy cat…
We didn’t have quite enough snow to go sledding close by, SO Stephen let the kids hooky bob behind the van. The kids went out and did it in the morning and then begged Stephen to take them out and do it again that afternoon.
We painted crackled nails and these cool stick on nails…
They played lots of different games of jacks with Grandma. I think it took mom back to her childhood. I was amazed how much the girls loved it and kept playing it.
My brother and dad chilling amidst the chaos….
We had our Christmas Eve party. The Mumma’s came to join us. We did the chimes, ate appetizers, did a white elephant gift exchange, and read the nativity.
Minute to Win it games at the church, followed by Nathan’s Scatter game with everyone in the gym. We would have two teams come up at a time to compete in a game as everyone else watched. We threw marshmallows in wreaths, card blowing on the edge of the table, cup stacking, ball ornament holding, candycane/nut stacking, and cookie face eating.
I know I’m probably forgetting something, but that is what I remember of our holiday! So fantabulous to have my family here for it!
Looks (and sounds) like you have a fantastic Christmas. I love seeing your family and you doing family things. It's nice to see a growing family being a family.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a safe and wonderful Christmas.
