It’s that time of year again. The summer winds down and the schedule of school ensues. Scavenger hunts for school supplies are endless.
Decorations are brought out trying to get the kids excited.
Family Home Evenings are planned to help the kids. Rebecca did this one for us on Monday (she found it online somewhere). I have another fun one planned for this coming week.
Countdown chains have been made for the much anticipated first day of pre-school.
Obviously some are more excited than others. We tied a little raffia to our first day of school gifts for teachers.
Next Tuesday is the big start day for all of the big kids. I cry every year. I kick myself every year for not doing more over the summer. It’s just that every year this first day of school comes around quicker and quicker. :(
I'm sorry your children have to go back so soon...ours don't go back until after Labour Day. Of course they didn't get out of school until the end of June so it might just work out to be the same.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the not doing enough over the summer with the kids. Even if they are adults now I could still do stuff with them. sigh, remember when summer used to be a million days long? Up here summer days are long and now it is getting dusky by 9pm. Autumn is coming waaayy too soon.
Cute FHE!!! I feel your pain my kids went back last week.
ReplyDeleteI wish them all a very HAPPY HAPPY first day of school tomorrow. I love all of your ideas! we start on wed and thurs... I'll be crying with ya! :)
ReplyDeleteIs there a list available of the sayings you had and the items to go with it? If so, could you email me at quailene@gmail.com. Im looking for a fun back to school fhe for this year.
