The next day we went to Manassa’s celebration. Once again we started with the parade.
The kids love the candy AND the popsicles. I loved how the popsicles coordinated with their outfits. :) The entire week Jerrica loved the attention that Dalton gave her. She is STILL talking about Dalton!
Bright and early before the parade, we had a few run in the 5k. I was surprised at how many people there were. They had just over 500 runners participate. Kaylee took 1st place in the 9-12 girls and Nathan took 2nd in the boys 9-12 group. They were excited about their trophies. I thought the t-shirts were fun.
Here are some of them after the race. They all look a little tired and ready for some breakfast.
After the trophy presentation we headed over to the carnival.
In the evening we went to the rodeo. My friend Kim and her family came down for the celebrations and met us there. Kim ALWAYS entertains me with her comments!
Notice Jacob is NOT watching the horse race, instead he is sketching.
We got a picture of all the grandkids that were there for the week.
I really feel that cousins are kind of an extension of a sibling. It was the cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles that made this a fun week. We sure love each of you and miss you already!
sounds like a lot of fun. As usual, your pictures are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love the last one...that little crying baby is so cute!!
Looks like an absolute blast! Awesome group photo shot! You really rock at getting their attention and keeping it!!!!! I could never shoot that many people at once.:) :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone involved had a great time...however, it seems that the photog is once-again notably absent from the shots.
ReplyDeletelovin' all your summer photos shauna, it's true so hard to keep up with the summer photos! and i love what you said about cousins!!! one of my fave things is to watch my children be so happy when they're with their cousins!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it something that your fast runners are your soccer players? Way to go, Nathan and Kaylee!
ReplyDeleteI love the crying kid on your dad's lap. In a group that big, there's gotta be one who's not happy! Your parents must be SO proud of that bunch of grandkids.
Thanks again for coming to see me last night :0)
