Pictures

We have LOVED puzzles over this vacation.  I love to sit there and chat with whomever is helping.  They are trapped there and have to talk with me! PuzzleED

Now on to pictures and camera questions - First off my new camera is a Nikon D7000.  We had issues with each other at first, BUT I think we are good friends now.

At the end of the year I put up and take care of all the 2010 pictures on my computer so that I can start fresh with 2011.  I have a little system that I do for each of my kids and each month during the year.  At the end of the year, I print up my favorite pictures to hang on my collage wall and around the house.  I even make a 2010 favorites folder.  I make sure pictures are backed up on hard drive, online and on disc.  Then I order my Blurb books.  I finished my blog book using my own template and just ordered it over the weekend.  I love the continuity and use of space by using my own template.  I will post pictures when it arrives.  I now need to finish the kids Blurb books this week.  They are really quick to put together because you slurp their folder into Blurb which takes just a couple minutes and then you can arrange pictures around.  Last year I gave them their books as a Valentine's gift.  It's funny how the kids don't see a lot of "their own" pictures until they get their book.

If you want to try a Blurb book you can use this coupon code for 20% off - SAVETWENTY.

What do you do with your pictures?

  1. I love the idea of a Blurb book, I'm going to have to look that up. I love scrapbooking and try to make a book of all big events but I've been following behind. I have also started making video's of the pictures and adding songs. It's been a big hit as I add music and fun captions. I recently started using walgreens photo albums. I made two for Christmas and I hope to get them back soon so I can see how they turned out. Thanks for sharing the ideas and can't wait to see the templates you used for your book.

  3. I've wanted to do a blurb book for my niece and nephews but didn't have time in 2010...I do have time this year and plan on doing it for Christmas.

I took my favorite pictures of 2010 and added them to a calender I put together for my family.

As you know, I post my pictures to flickr.

I only recently finished my 2009 book and that was because my hubs took all our kids on a mini vacation!:) I'm slow!!! Th year for stocking stuffers I did mini monthly calendars and those seemed to be a big hit.
