Need a reunion idea ...
Aunt Kristy thought that it was important for each of the grandkids to know what number they were at the reunion in Arizona. Above are three numbers in a row. And here below is little number 10 with her mom.
Let's take a look at number 19
Have you figured out the numbers yet?!?! The number represents where they fall in the order of grandchildren to Papa and Grandma Charla. It was fun hearing them talk about "their" number. The kids tie dyed T-shirts and then we ironed on the numbers.
Thanks for the fun idea Kristy! My kids NOW know their number!
Super cute idea! :) That is a lot of grandkids! How fun for them to all have playmates! (there were very few of us growing up)
ReplyDeleteI love that idea, how did you do the tye dye so the dyes to mix when washed? Just wondering-LOVE the shirts.
ReplyDeleteWhere was your reunion in AZ? We have a huge reunion this weekend in Show Low. I can't wait to enjoy the beautiful weather there. It will be about 25 degrees cooler than here!!
ReplyDeletep.s. I love the number idea. We made shirts for our kids with their number on it a few years back. We used their birth day for their number :)
We love to do this with our own kids. we have the children learn their number from the time the are small, then when we get in the van or a crowded area instead of counting heads we say count off They each then when count their number in turn. We are doing the numbers on the shirts for our family vacation. Maybe it will help people to not ask "are they all yours?'
ReplyDeletewhat a fantastic idea!!! i love it!!
ReplyDeletelove it!!! we're gonna have to do this next time the spillane crews all manage to get together!
