Monster Jars

Monster Jars2
I finished up the Tithing Monster Jars for each of my kiddos.  They were so fun to make!
Tonight we had our FHE on Tithing.  We had a couple stories and a game.  Then I gave them their jars and told them about the one I had when I was young.  It was fun to see how excited they were.  They loved how the monsters had the hidden openings to keep the money.
Monster Jars
I remember when I was little, Grandma Jackie would call our house asking if someone wanted to come down the road and help her for some extra money.  We would all beg to go.  Sometimes when we would get down there she would say, "Now I don't really have a job today, but I do have this movie that I needed someone to watch with me."  Then she would break out the Pepsi and we would enjoy the movie together.  After it would end she would stick a little money into our hand and tell us to take this for coming down and "helping her".  I wish that I could still enjoy afternoons like that "earning money".  I sure do miss my Grandma Jackie!
Anyway, I've gotten off on a tangent.
So summing up, Monster Jars a huge hit -  kids were thrilled!

  6. My aunt gave me the jars. They were from the large size Salt City Candles. I did notice that Michael's sells the same size in their glass section.

They are easy to make. I can share the pattern if you would like.
